Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed term? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
