Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 storming tempestuously 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 the living and the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
