Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 The living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
