Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 separating one from another, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 As justification or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
