Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 and the severally severing 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 for an appointed term? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
