Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 as black camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
