O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him]. 102 Hold on firmly together to the rope of God, and be not divided among yourselves, and remember the favours God bestowed on you when you were one another's foe and He reconciled your hearts, and you turned into brethren through His grace. You had stood on the edge of a pit of fire and He saved you from it, thus revealing to you His clear signs that you may find the right way perchance. 103 And from among you there should be a party who invite to good and enjoin what is right and forbid the wrong, and these it is that shall be successful. 104 Be not as those who scattered and fell into variance after the clear signs came to them; those there awaits a mighty chastisement, 105 On the Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) when some faces will become white and some faces will become black; as for those whose faces will become black (to them will be said): "Did you reject Faith after accepting it? Then taste the torment (in Hell) for rejecting Faith." 106 But as for those with faces shining, they shall be within God's grace, therein to abide. 107 These are revelations of Allah; We rehearse them unto thee with truth, and Allah intendeth not wrong unto the worlds. 108 His is all that the heavens and the earth contain. To God shall all things return. 109
