The News (Al-Naba')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Concerning what are they disputing? 1 Of the mighty tiding 2 concerning which they are in disagreement! 3 Indeed, they shall know! 4 Again surely yes, they will soon come to know! 5 Have We not spread the earth like a bed, 6 and the mountains as pegs? 7 And We have created you in pairs; 8 and gave you repose in sleep, 9 and made the night [its] cloak 10 and We made the day for a livelihood. 11 We have built above you seven mighty heavens, 12 and placed therein a hot, shining lamp, 13 and sent down heavy rains from the clouds 14 That We may produce from it grain and vegetation, 15 And orchards full of trees and interlacing boughs. 16 Indeed, the Day of Decision is an appointed time, 17 the Day that the Horn is blown, and you shall come in crowds 18 The heavens will have openings like doors. 19 And the mountains will be moved – they will therefore become like mirages. 20 Lo! hell lurketh in ambush, 21 a resort for the rebellious; 22 there, they shall live for ages, 23 Finding neither sleep nor any thing to drink 24 except boiling water and pus 25 Reward proportioned (to their evil deeds). 26 Indeed, they were not expecting an account 27 They called Our revelations false with strong denial. 28 We have kept account of everything in a book. 29 So taste you (the results of your evil actions); no increase shall We give you, except in torment. 30
