The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ What do they quarrel about? 1 They quarrel about the great news 2 on which they [so utterly] disagree. 3 By no means! anon they shall know. 4 They will indeed come to know soon. 5 Did We not make the earth a bed? 6 And the mountains as pegs? 7 And We have created you in pairs. 8 And made your sleep a rest. 9 and We made the night a mantle, 10 and made the day to seek livelihood, 11 We raised over you several secure (skies), 12 (the sun) as a shining torch 13 and have sent down from the clouds, pouring rain 14 that We may bring forth thereby grain and plants, 15 and gardens dense with foliage. 16 Indeed, the Day of Decision is an appointed time, 17 On that day the trumpet will be sounded and you will come (to Us) in huge groups. 18 and the heaven shall be opened, and become gates, 19 And the hills are set in motion and become as a mirage. 20 Behold, Gehenna has become an ambush, 21 a return for the insolent, 22 therein to tarry for ages, 23 Therein taste they neither coolness nor (any) drink 24 Save scalding water and corruption. 25 a befitting recompense for their deeds. 26 For lo! they looked not for a reckoning; 27 and roundly denied Our Signs as false. 28 And everything We have recorded in a book. 29 [So We shall say], "Taste, then, [the fruit of your evil doings,] for now We shall bestow on you nothing but more and more suffering!" 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
