The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Whereof do they question one another? 1 Of the mighty Announcement, 2 concerning which they have disputes. 3 But they will soon come to know. 4 Again surely yes, they will soon come to know! 5 Have We not made the earth an expanse. 6 The mountains tent-pins? 7 And We have created you in pairs, 8 and We have made your sleep [a symbol of] death 9 And made the night a cover. 10 And made the day for seeking livelihood. 11 And We have built above you seven strong (heavens), 12 And have kept a very bright lamp in it. 13 And sent down, from the rain clouds, pouring water 14 In order to produce grain and plants with it. 15 and thick gardens grow? 16 Indeed the Day of Decision is a time fixed. 17 A day when the trumpet is blown and ye come in multitudes, 18 And the heaven shall be opened so that it shall be all openings, 19 And the mountains shall be moved off so that they shall remain a mere semblance. 20 Hell will lie in wait (for its prey). 21 For the exorbitant a receptacle. 22 therein to tarry for ages, 23 tasting therein neither coolness nor any drink 24 only burning despair and ice-cold darkness: 25 The reward to each is according to what he is. 26 They did not expect such a Judgment 27 And they belied Our revelations with strong belying. 28 but We have placed on record every single thing [of what they did]. 29 "So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Punishment." 30

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
توجد تمارين تحفيظ للوضعين العربي الأصلي والعربي المخطوط بأحرف إنجليزية فقط. ولا تحتوي الترجمة الإنجليزية على تمارين حفظ.
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
