The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ What are they questioning each other about? 1 About the great tidings! 2 concerning which they are in disagreement! 3 Nay, but in time they will come to understand [it]! 4 Then, no! They are going to know. 5 Have We not made the earth as a cradle 6 and fixed the mountains like pegs, 7 And it is We who created you in pairs. 8 made sleep for you to rest, 9 made the night as a covering, 10 and the day as time for you to make a living? 11 and built above you seven strong firmaments, 12 (the sun) as a shining torch 13 And then sent down hard rain from the water bearing clouds. 14 Thereby to produce grain and plant, 15 And gardens of luxurious growth? 16 Surely the Day of Judgement has an appointed time; 17 the day the Trumpet is blown, and you shall come in troops, 18 and heaven is opened, and become gates, 19 The mountains will be driven away and become like mirages. 20 Surely, Hell lies in wait, 21 It will be a place of return 22 there, they shall live for ages, 23 They will neither taste anything cool in it, nor anything to drink. 24 save boiling water and pus 25 for a suitable recompense. 26 They indeed hoped not for a reckoning, 27 and they absolutely belied Our verses, 28 And everything have We recorded in a Book. 29 So taste (the fruit of what you sowed), for We shall add nothing but torment, 30

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
