The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] belied and disobeyed; 21 and hastily turned away, 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
