The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 by those that swim serenely 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 Lo! His Sustainer called out to him in the twice-hallowed valley: 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 And thereupon he [went to Pharaoh and] made him aware of the great wonder [of God's grace]. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
