The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 And thereupon he [went to Pharaoh and] made him aware of the great wonder [of God's grace]. 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 you pay attention 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
