The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 by those that swim serenely 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 And those who govern the event, 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 then he mustered 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
