The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 And by those who float in space, 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 then he mustered 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 And thereupon God took him to task, [and made him] a warning example in the life to come as well as in this world. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
