The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 But [Pharaoh] gave him the lie and rebelliously rejected [all guidance,] 21 Then he quickly turned his back. 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 you pay attention 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
