The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 you pay attention 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
