The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 And by those who float in space, 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 then he mustered 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
