The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 [HENCE, think of] the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world,] 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
