The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 The disbelievers say, "Will we really return to our former state?" 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 "Tell him 'Do you have the inclination to become pure?' 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 and then he gathered [his great ones,] and called [unto his people,] 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
