The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 and those that blow gently, 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 Followed by oft-repeated (commotions): 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
