The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I swear by the angels who violently pull out the souls of the wicked, 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 On the day when the first trumpet sound blasts 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
