The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] belied and disobeyed; 21 and hastily turned away, 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
