The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And by those who float in space, 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 But it shall be only a single cry, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
