The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 and then he gathered [his great ones,] and called [unto his people,] 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 you pay attention 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
