The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 and gently take it away; 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 to be followed by further [convulsions]! 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
