The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the pluckers (the angels of death), violently plucking (the souls of the unbelievers), 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 And those who govern the event, 5 On the day when the first trumpet sound blasts 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 then he mustered 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
