The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who dive and drag, 1 and gently take it away; 2 by those that swim serenely 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 and gathered his people together 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
