The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the pluckers (the angels of death), violently plucking (the souls of the unbelievers), 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 And lo! they will be awakened. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 But [Pharaoh] gave him the lie and rebelliously rejected [all guidance,] 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
