The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 and those that blow gently, 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; 22 and then he gathered [his great ones,] and called [unto his people,] 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
