The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 And those who govern the event, 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Has there reached you the story of Moses? - 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 you pay attention 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
