By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 [HENCE, think of] the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world,] 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]? 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 then he mustered 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
