The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the angels who violently pull out the souls of the wicked, 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
