The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] belied and disobeyed; 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
