The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 by those that swim serenely 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 In this, behold, there is a lesson indeed for all who stand in awe [of God]. 26
