The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 and those that blow gently, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 And by those that press forward as in a race (i.e. the angels or stars or the horses, etc.). 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 And thereupon he [went to Pharaoh and] made him aware of the great wonder [of God's grace]. 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 In this, behold, there is a lesson indeed for all who stand in awe [of God]. 26
