The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 By the meteors rushing, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
