The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 But it shall be only a single cry, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 then he mustered 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
