The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
