The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 And by those that swim along (i.e. angels or planets in their orbits, etc.). 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
