The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But it shall be only a single cry, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
