The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 And by those who float in space, 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), 6 And the second followeth it, 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
