The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the angels who violently pull out the souls of the wicked, 1 and those that blow gently, 2 And by those that swim along (i.e. angels or planets in their orbits, etc.). 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the day when the first trumpet sound blasts 6 And the second followeth it, 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 Lo! His Sustainer called out to him in the twice-hallowed valley: 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 But [Pharaoh] gave him the lie and rebelliously rejected [all guidance,] 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 So Allah, seized him with punishment for his last [i.e. his saying: "I am your lord, most high") (see Verse 79:24)] and first [(i.e. his saying, "O chiefs! I know not that you have a god other than I" (see Verse 28:38)] transgression. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
