The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 to be followed by further [convulsions], 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 And lo! they will be awakened. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 and then he gathered [his great ones,] and called [unto his people,] 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
