The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 15 Lo! His Sustainer called out to him in the twice-hallowed valley: 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 Then he quickly turned his back. 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
