The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who dive and drag, 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 While eyes are downcast 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 you pay attention 25 Truly there is a lesson in this for those who fear (the consequences). 26
