The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)

I CALL TO WITNESS those who dive and drag, 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 On the day when the first trumpet sound blasts 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 While eyes are downcast 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
