The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
