The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 By the meteors rushing, 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] belied and disobeyed; 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 you pay attention 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
